Joanne Singerle and Scott Hewins came to Vermont and purchased Fran Zando Kennels in 1999. Our vision was to provide personal and customized care for pets while their people were away.

Joanne has worked in the pet care industry since 1984. She has worked in several kennels and grooming salons as well as veterinary clinics. Her main interest has always been in the grooming field and has worked as a full time professional groomer for more than 25 years. Recently she has studied Reiki and herbal therapy to help her clients relax and be more comfortable. Joanne surrounds herself with animals of all kinds. She has rescued many dogs, cats, chickens, goats, horses, parrots, and guinea fowl.

Scott has always been an animal lover. He grew up with a number of Labrador Retrievers. He worked as a mechanic for many years but needed a change. When the opportunity arose to move to Vermont he jumped at it.

In 2001 our son, Taylor, was born. He will be heir to our kingdom!

All the animals in our home are Forever a part of our family.
